Rescue Me ID: 16-09-01-00305Luna (female)

Great Dane    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Greetings! My name is Luna. I am a 5 yr old girly girl Great Dane that's on the lower end of the Dane threshold, weighing in at only about 90 lbs (I could use some more groceries). I am not much for all of the teenage shenanigans that my 1 yr old foster dog brother likes. I am just a middle aged sweetheart and prefer the comfy couch and my favorite person to snuggle next to. I am a super, super good girl and if a slow & steady lifestyle is what you prefer, then I am perfect for you. I am completely housebroken and know commands like sit, down, shake, come and off. I am really awesome on the leash; I don't like to pull at all. I just ... (Read More)like to trot by my person's side. I get along with everyone; dogs, no matter what size, cats, adults and children, although the female of the household is who I naturally gravitate towards. I do like to chase bunnies if I see them scampering through my yard. As far as a yard, I can be in a fenced or unfenced makes no difference to me. I don't chew on anything except my bones. I love treats; any kind of treats, potato chips, tomatoes...whatever; I'm not picky. As long as I get to be with my humans, I'm content as can be. I prefer to go everywhere with my human so if you need some good company, I will happily join you. Be prepared to have a shadow and I do have the natural Dane tendencies to counter surf and sleep on a bed. You can't get much better than me! What do you say? You want to be my forever snuggle buddy? Luna is being fostered in Rockton, IL. Her adoption fee is $250 and covers her spay, all age appropriate shots at time of adoption, microchip and health certificate. PIease Read Before Adopting a Great Dane in Wisconsin
Great Dane Dogs can make good pets in Wisconsin if they match your IifestyIe. The Great Dane is an enormous, but extremely gentle breed often referred to as the Gentle Giant. Great Danes are kind, loyal, and sociable. They need to be around people. Great Danes are gentle, devoted, and wonderful with children, but should be supervised with little ones because of their large size. Great Danes should be well trained as puppies. Great Danes can live in an apartment with enough daily exercise but do best with a large yard.
