Great Dane Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Sassy is a Great Dane/Lab mix who is only a little over a year old, with a March birthdate,so is still very puppy-like. She is 70 pounds of energy that wants to play tug, chase a ball, run down a path with you and then crash on the couch with her big head in your lap. She is good with other dogs but many of them are not good with her level of playfulness and her size. When one of the other dogs snaps at her, she stops and sits down, does not snap back at them. She is good with cats but a little pushy and has also done well with very young children. Sassy is house trained, crate trained and leash trained but we are still working on her leash ... (Read More)manners. The puppy in her wants to run, not walk. She is spayed, up-to-date on vaccinations and heart worm negative. She's a huge, goofy puppy looking for a family of her own. We have an application process to insure that she is a good fit for your family. Please let us know if you'd like to meet this sweet girl! (Less)

My story in life is horrible. I was living in GA on a farm but was always tied down in a barn. My previous owner was taking to jail and I was all alone without food or water. I couldn't got away because I was tied down. Than in 2013 a Tornado hit our area and I got so scared. The barn I was in got destroyed and I still was tied down. A good person saw me and took me in. I did got some food and fresh water. I than got transported to a Rescue Group right here in TN. Now this Lady who took me in, took me right in and showed me how life is without being tied down all the time. Yes I hate collars and leashes. I will NOT walk with you if you put ... (Read More)a collar on me. I hate collars. I guess is because I always was tied down. I love other animals and play with them as long as I have NO collar on. I got my shots with the Lady who took me in. The VET said that getting me Neutered is not good for me because of my age. Yes I'm approx. 8 years old but now with the freedom I have and all the care I got and get I'm a healthy senior citizen. Now I have a KING life and have so much love to give. I know I can get about 15 years old and finally enjoy my life. My adoption fee is $150.00 and an Adoption Agreement has to be sign. Please find it in your Heart to adopt me. Thank you all in advance. Please Spay/Neuter your Animals. We safe one life at a time. (Less)

This is our senior citizen who is with us for over 1 year now. Yes he is a senior citizen, age 8 1/2 years but has very low energy. Some times he thinks he is a pup and plays like a pup. We think he has a good 4-5 years to share his love with a FUR ever home. He do NOT like other male dogs but is wonderful with females. There is a horrible story behind this shy boy, what will be explained if interested. My story in life is horrible. I was living in GA on a farm but was always tied down in a barn. PIease Read Before Adopting a Great Dane in Tennessee
Great Dane Dogs can make good pets in Tennessee if they match your IifestyIe. The Great Dane is an enormous, but extremely gentle breed often referred to as the Gentle Giant. Great Danes are kind, loyal, and sociable. They need to be around people. Great Danes are gentle, devoted, and wonderful with children, but should be supervised with little ones because of their large size. Great Danes should be well trained as puppies. Great Danes can live in an apartment with enough daily exercise but do best with a large yard.
