Rescue Me ID: 16-08-07-00125Bear (male)

Great Dane Mix    Age: Young Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Bear has some dane features such as his ears and muzzle area and his tail. We do believe he has some ridgeback in him as well as he does have a small ridge on his neck part of his back area and the vet saw some possible shepherd in there as well. All great breeds in my opinion. He is 5 months old and and 33 pounds so he will not get as big as a dane. We are thinking 60 to 70 pounds but that is just a guess. Bear is a happy, goofy and playful boy. He loves rolling and playing in the water so might make a great lake dog. He also loves running and playing with toys. He is not hyper at all, he's just a goofy sweet pup that like to play and loves ... (Read More)belly rubs. He is very well behaved for a pup and doesn't try to jump up on you at all. Great with other dogs and has been great with the kids we have had him around. $100 to adopt. If interested in adopting please fill out an adoption app at www.clevelandareapoundpals.com (Less)

This sweet but energetic dog is friendly and tries to please. This dog was abandoned on our land and we've kept him as long as we could be we are renting and the owner let us get him acclimated and fixed. He does need room to roam as he's got some great dane in him. Short coat so no shedding problems. Is comfortable to come in out of the heat or cold at night but likes being outside. He has a sister who was abandoned with him and would be cool if they could stay together but probably unlikely.I'll be posting her picture too....'Stella'. We are located in Blanchard OK..near Norman Ok.

Louie is a fence jumper & does need a safe backyard enclosure. If you have the usual 3-4ft fence, we have low cost suggestions that will make it safe.

PIease Read Before Adopting a Great Dane in Oklahoma
Great Dane Dogs can make good pets in Oklahoma if they match your IifestyIe. The Great Dane is an enormous, but extremely gentle breed often referred to as the Gentle Giant. Great Danes are kind, loyal, and sociable. They need to be around people. Great Danes are gentle, devoted, and wonderful with children, but should be supervised with little ones because of their large size. Great Danes should be well trained as puppies. Great Danes can live in an apartment with enough daily exercise but do best with a large yard.
