Hi I'm Buddy, and I hope to be YOUR buddy! I'm a really sweet, 60lb, 4 year old boy who's not been treated very nice. I had a family not long ago, then they decided to move to a new home and they didn't take me with them. I was just left all alone outside my old house. Thankfully some kind neighbors really liked me and have been caring for me until I can find a new, true forever family. My temporary family says I do great with their dogs, and kids, and I'm a really friendly boy. They wish they could keep me, but I just can't resist chasing their kittys, and they have lots of kittys, so they think a home with no kittys would be best for me. ... (Read More)Kitty chasing is my downfall I guess, but I'm good with all sizes of dogs! Even the little ones. If you'd like to meet me, please email my friends at My friends will get me up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and neutered if you're interested in adopting or fostering me! (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 16-11-09-00071Bella (female)

Great Dane Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Very Dominant
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Bella is a 2 %BD year old Great Dane Olde English Bulldog Mix. She is 80 lbs. (was the runt in the litter), up to date on shots, spayed, crate trained, and house trained. She loves to snuggle, play ball, go on walks, chew on toys, and keep you alert if she hears something outside. It breaks our heart to have to rehome her, but due to some major life changes and a change in our living arrangements we can no longer keep her. Because of her size and alpha personality, she would be best for an experienced dog owner who does not have small children or another alpha dog (she is a toy hog). She will come with her crate, food bowls, some food, ... (Read More)leash, harness, and vet records. Asking a rehoming fee of $150 to ensure she goes to a good home. We will be moving this weekend and have exhausted all other options in finding her a new home. We really don't want to take her to a shelter. (Less)

Animal ID: 16-06-22-00283Blake Shelton (male)

Great Dane Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

This is Blake Shelton! Unfortunately he does not sing country music but he is super handsome and will lay on the love!!! Blake came to us from a great home who had multiple other dogs and Blake's brother. As in most situations where litter mates are adopted into the same household, they started having problems with the two siblings. We were told Blake is a Great Dane/Pit bull mix. He is now 8months old and ready for his forever home! He is potty trained, leash/off leash trained, gets along great with other dogs, loves children, and wants to do nothing more than love you and get some in return! I do not think he will be super big, but he is ... (Read More)almost 45lbs already so I definitely would put him in the 60lbs weight when full grown! He is still very much a puppy, he does like to chew, but is kennel trained, so leaving him with a chew toy or rawhide when you are gone is perfect, although I do believe once he gets past his chewing stage, with training can conquer his need to chew and become a all around house dog. He does not bark excessively in or out of the kennel, and although he loves running and playing with kids and/or other dogs outside, he loves to lounge around indoors also. I'm not going to say he NEEDS a backyard, although they are always nice, Blake has the potential for apartment living with regular dog park visits and exercise! This dog is a PERFECT family dog! He would also do great in a 1 on 1 situation with someone, and continuous socialization! His adoption fee is REDUCED! He came to us neutered and healthy so we have only had to do a little on the vetting side, i.e. heartworm test, and heartworm/flea & tick preventative. If you or anyone you know might be interested in Blake, please call/email/text asap! This guy deserves a life long family of love and joy! Thank you!!! (Less)

Health: Needs to be Spayed, Vaccinations Current, Aggressive

Sophia is a AKC registered, Merle Great Dane. She is very smart and sweet. She has not been spayed nor has she had a litter of puppies. She has exhibited intra-dog aggression to smaller dogs, but none to dogs of similar size or humans. We have smaller dogs and cats in our home therefore cannot keep Sophia. I will post pictures soon as she is absolutely beautiful.

PIease Read Before Adopting a Great Dane in North Carolina
Great Dane Dogs can make good pets in North Carolina if they match your IifestyIe. The Great Dane is an enormous, but extremely gentle breed often referred to as the Gentle Giant. Great Danes are kind, loyal, and sociable. They need to be around people. Great Danes are gentle, devoted, and wonderful with children, but should be supervised with little ones because of their large size. Great Danes should be well trained as puppies. Great Danes can live in an apartment with enough daily exercise but do best with a large yard.
