Carter will be 5 years old in December of 2015. He is a very laid back dog that loves attention. Makes a great guard dog because of his bark and size but wouldn't hurt a soul.

Woody SPONSORED $100 OFF BONDED's Story... Hello! My name is Woody and at approximately 11 months old I am 60-65lbs of love! I was rescued from the local shelter along with my sister (from another litter), Jessy, and another dog who was likely our dad and was an American Bulldog. Mom was a purebred German Shepherd. I am a big goofball, who loves to go out in the yard and wrestle with the other dogs in my foster home, but my preferred companion is Jessy. We could play all day and never get tired of each other! I am definitely a submissive guy though and could live in a home with other dogs. I definitely could not be an only dog though because I tend to get anxious and chew things I am not supposed to if left alone too long. I have not had any issues with separation anxiety in my foster home though because there are so many other dogs here that I do not get lonely. I would really prefer to be in my forever home with Jessy though. I am also cat friendly, I don't really pay attention to the two that live with me. They are used to big dogs though and do not run away which makes them really boring as far as I am concerned. Kids are okay too, though I probably would do best in a home with older kids only because when I play, I tend to forget how big I am. If you have younger kids who are dog savvy I am fine though as I live with three who are all under four at the moment and we all get along well! The youngest even tries to use me like a pony sometimes and I don't mind one bit. I walk really well on the leash and could be a great running partner in my forever home. I am also house trained and crate trained. I am not the biggest fan of the crate but will go in there if you have to be away and if you promise to leave me something tasty to chew on like a cow hoof stuffed with frozen peanut butter or bully stick. I am already fixed and up to date on all my vaccines. I am also on heartworm and flea/tick prevention and microchipped so that I am all ready to go to my forever family. If you have any questions about me, my foster mom, Jessica, would be happy to answer them. She can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org. I have a sponsored adoption fee of $100 because a wonderful family fell in love with me but was not able to be my forever home so they wanted to help me along my journey to that special place. I am bonded with Jessy and separation will only be considered for adopters who have experience with separation anxiety and have other dogs in the home. An adoption application can be filled out at fchsnc.org (Less)

With floppy ears like mine and a million dollar smile, I am not sure how anyone could not just adore me! My name is Lexi and I am about two years old and a German Shepherd mixed with maybe some Dane? I am right at the 50lb line and won't get any bigger. My brother and I were at the local shelter as well as my mom who was a purebred German Shepherd. They have both found homes and I am patiently waiting for mine. I am very affectionate with adults and kids alike. I even know not to jump on the little ones even though I may greet an adult a little more rambunctiously. I love being with my people. Other dogs tend to make me nervous but I am slowly getting better with them as my foster mom continues to introduce me to the ones I live with and I learn that they are friends. I used to get picked up a lot by the shelter roaming free so it may be that I had some bad experiences with other dogs before. Cats do not interest me though. I live with two that have no fear of big dogs and so I pay no attention to them since they don't run and make it a game. I walk really well on a leash and have great house manners. I have not had one accident in the house and I am also quite content to go in my crate and lay down if you are not home to be with me. You just have to make sure it is not a flimsy crate because if I get bored, I may break out and go explore the house. I promise I won't get into trouble though! I did that the first day in my foster home and spent the day with the cats and the senior lady dog and we all did okay together and I waited to take my potty break outside. I am not a dog who is big on chew toys so I didn't even chew on anything I wasn't supposed to! I would love to have a fenced in yard to play in, but it needs to be one that I cannot climb over since I have been known to do that. A fenced yard is not a requirement though because I don't want to be out there without you! I am already spayed and up to date on all of my vaccinations. I am also microchipped and on heartworm and flea/tick prevention. FCHS is asking an adoption fee of $200 for me, but that is really quite the bargain since I am all ready for my forever home! My foster mom, Jessica, would be happy to answer any questions you may have about me and you can reach her at email@example.com. I hope that I will soon be in my forever home, is it with you? (Less)

|Rescue Me ID: 15-08-31-00354Marshall (male)|
Update: Well I was to much energy for the young bot in the house , so now I am back. They decided that I can only go to a home where the kids are over 10 years old. I am still a happy fun loving bundle of joy. Marshall is a 6 month old Great Dane puppy. He has one goal in life at this young age and that is to play, rest and play some more. He loves everyone and everything and has never meet a stranger. His new home must continue his obedience training and teaching him where he fits into to his new house. It is a lot easier training a 60-70 lbs puppy than a 120-150 lbs dog. If you are interested in him do not wait, he will not be staying in our rescue long. (Less)

Meet Bella Bella is a 3-4 years old Lab/Great Dane mix. She is house trained, crate trained, knows basic commands, and gets along great with all of my dogs and cats. She loves to play yet she is laid back and a great indoor dog! She is good on a leash and a good car rider. Awesome with kids! A super all around dog! She would make the perfect addition to any family.

Great Dane Dogs can make good pets in North Carolina if they match your IifestyIe. The Great Dane is an enormous, but extremely gentle breed often referred to as the Gentle Giant. Great Danes are kind, loyal, and sociable. They need to be around people. Great Danes are gentle, devoted, and wonderful with children, but should be supervised with little ones because of their large size. Great Danes should be well trained as puppies. Great Danes can live in an apartment with enough daily exercise but do best with a large yard.
