Great Dane Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Benny is AMAZING!!! He is a Great Dane/Boxer Mix. He is a really good boy, knows basic commands, & housebroken. Benny needs a home with older kids probably 6+ yrs that can run & play with him. He loves kids but we feel would do best with older ones. He is not overly energetic but of course does have energy as he is still a pup & wants to play but also has a good balance to calm down too.

The ideal home for Sebastian would have a fence yard, a large adult-low energy dog. no small children. *his one year old birthday is in October *he is good with kids but a little clumpy. *he can see from one eye but he needs another dog to be his helper in seem and hearing. *he had a bad reaction to vaccines so only had his first set of Vacs. including rabies. *microchip * 100% crate train, 80% housetrain ****ideal home would stay in touch, I love Sebastian very much.

Chained outside, starved, bleeding pressure sores and finally dumped at a high kill shelter. That's the first chapter in Locklyn's life. He is now safe in the arms of Mercy and looking for his forever home where he can be loved and cherished. Locklyn is a 4 year old Great Dane. He was around a hundred pounds underweight when coming in to the rescue. He was lethargic and didn't know how to play. He was afraid of the other dogs especially the little ones. He has gained most of the weight back, still needs to continue to gain a little more. He feels so much better and has now started to run and play. He is an awesome big boy that wants so ... Rescue Me ID: 14-07-23-00663Millie (female)

Great Dane Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Male Dogs Only, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Millie is a 4 yr old Great Dane mix(small stature at only 50lbs) that was saved from animal control. She had been spayed, chipped, and vaccinated. She is one of the sweetest dogs you will ever meet. She is great with all people and housebroken. This poor girl belonged and was loved at some point. She is looking for forever home. She is a cuddle bug and just wants to be loved. This is from her foster Mom: Millie is such a sweet, loving dog with a huge personality! She loves to play fetch with her toy octopus, or take a long naps at your feet. She is the perfect companion for relaxed walks, as she walks loose leash beside you. She has ... (Read More)such a playful, happy demeanor. After each long nap (in which she makes long sighs and little sounds of enjoyment) she wakes up extremely happy to see you, with wagging tail and rolling around on her back while wiggling her legs in the air - it really is something to see! She is extremely smart, and learns very quickly. She knows commands of sit, lie down and no. If you call her to come to you, she will come immediately. She is submissive and will willingly roll onto her back, showing her stomach - which conveniently, she loves to have scratched! She loves to play with children - she tends to do her leg wiggling, back rolling the most when she plays with them, especially if they are throwing her octopus for her. She is perfectly house trained and will always ask to go out when needed - sometimes by giving you a little sound, sometimes she will sit at the door and wait for you. She really loves to sleep in her bed at night, when it is in the same room as you. When she loves her person, she loves them whole heartedly with all she's got! More than anything, that is what she wants, to be loved with all you have got! Millie comes complete with her own brand new accessories! Her collar, lead, harness (for those relaxing walks), her bed, bowls and toys- so no need for any extra expense - oh and some of her favorite food - which does induce a long, hard nap filled with those little sounds and comfortable sigh (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 14-06-20-00459Apollo (male)

Great Dane    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Not Good w/ Other Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Very High Energy, Very Dominant
Health: Neutered, Aggressive

I am re-homing my dane due to aggression towards other dogs.I am very tired of breaking up dog fights. He is extremely dominant and territorial despite me having him neutered and trying to introduce other dogs slowly, supervising, etc. He has never had an accident in the house. He is micro-chipped. I am his second owner and I will be selective of his third and hopefully his last. I would like occasional status updates on how he is doing. There is no re-homing fee but he must go to someone who knows how to handle dogs with aggressive behaviors. NO CHILDREN. 336-314-0983 text for a faster response -Kate

Great Dane Dogs can make good pets in North Carolina if they match your IifestyIe. The Great Dane is an enormous, but extremely gentle breed often referred to as the Gentle Giant. Great Danes are kind, loyal, and sociable. They need to be around people. Great Danes are gentle, devoted, and wonderful with children, but should be supervised with little ones because of their large size. Great Danes should be well trained as puppies. Great Danes can live in an apartment with enough daily exercise but do best with a large yard.
