Sampson is a super sweet boy. He has been such a joy to have in our family but our circumstances have changed and we need to find him a better home. Sampson is a skittish guy. He has always been fairly timid and as he has gotten older he has been slightly aggressive towards kids so much so that he nipped at a girl at the park once. We have two kids and he loves them to death but perhaps it's just because he grew up with them. I really think he would be totally fine with kids but it would take him awhile to settle into not being anxious around them. He loves his family and will do anything to be next to them even if that means lugging his giant bed from one side of the house to the other. He is a huge cuddler and loves attention. Sampson is a barker. He gets pretty mad at the birds when he thinks they're trying to eat his food outside and barks till he's let out and then barks at them when he's out. Sampson is crate trained and house trained. He will come with his bed, crate, blanket, leash, collar. We hate to see him go but we are moving right next door to friends of ours who have three young kids and I am afraid that Sampson may not do well with them if they come over unexpected. Sampson would do great at a place with land and plenty of room to roam. He loves to run and go on walks but he is an indoor dog only. Thanks for looking and feel free to ask any questions. (Less)

Great Dane Dogs can make good pets in Missouri if they match your IifestyIe. The Great Dane is an enormous, but extremely gentle breed often referred to as the Gentle Giant. Great Danes are kind, loyal, and sociable. They need to be around people. Great Danes are gentle, devoted, and wonderful with children, but should be supervised with little ones because of their large size. Great Danes should be well trained as puppies. Great Danes can live in an apartment with enough daily exercise but do best with a large yard.
