Great Dane Mix    Age: Young Adult

Personality: High Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Neutered, Needs Vaccinations

Sampson is a 3 year old, Great Dane mix. He is an indoor dog, kennel trained, with a fenced back yard. He isn't destructive, doesn't eat from the table, is completely potty trained and doesn't get on furniture. He knows how to sit/lay down. He likes doggie treats, doggie ice cream and ice cubes. He is a high energy dog, and requires someone to spend time him. He is good with us at home, myself, husband, newborn and Chihuahua, but he's protective. He barks and growls at other people and animals. Therefore, he hasn't spent much time with other people or animals. We love Sampson, but with a newborn, we can no longer provide the time ... (Read More)that he really deserves. We would like him to go to someone who could spoil him, and love him like we do. (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Great Dane in Kentucky
Great Dane Dogs can make good pets in Kentucky if they match your IifestyIe. The Great Dane is an enormous, but extremely gentle breed often referred to as the Gentle Giant. Great Danes are kind, loyal, and sociable. They need to be around people. Great Danes are gentle, devoted, and wonderful with children, but should be supervised with little ones because of their large size. Great Danes should be well trained as puppies. Great Danes can live in an apartment with enough daily exercise but do best with a large yard.
