Marnie, is a 3 year old girl...Blood hound/great dane mix. She is very sweet. Loves life, people, and other animals....I am having health problems and need to find her a good home. She is having health problems with Hip dysplasia and is on medication, so the person who takes her needs to be able to afford her appetite as well as her medications of about 40.00's a month. We recused her as a pup from the pound. Her vet says that since she is a mix bread her hind legs are too strait and cause her pain. But if you want to love this big lovable girl... she needs a new home. She weighs about 110lbs at last vet visit. Adoption fee may be ... (Read More)negotiable with the right adoptee (Less)

Fred is thrilled to be out of the shelter! He is approximately 3 years old and full of energy. Fred loves everyone he meets and gets along with other dogs. He is so eager to play, that he can be a little rough at times, but he is quickly learning his play manners. His foster family is diligent about reminding him to be patient and wait his turn for his toys. Fred rides well in a car and seems to like children. He knows 'sit', 'shake', and 'down' and his foster family is working on 'stay'. He has pretty good leash manners, but will need continued guidance. Fred is house trained and crate trained. He is neutered and UTD. Fred will be ... (Read More)adopted as an indoor family member only. Read about our adoption process and apply to adopt Fred at www.kgdr.org! (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Great Dane in Kentucky
Great Dane Dogs can make good pets in Kentucky if they match your IifestyIe. The Great Dane is an enormous, but extremely gentle breed often referred to as the Gentle Giant. Great Danes are kind, loyal, and sociable. They need to be around people. Great Danes are gentle, devoted, and wonderful with children, but should be supervised with little ones because of their large size. Great Danes should be well trained as puppies. Great Danes can live in an apartment with enough daily exercise but do best with a large yard.
