Palmer was a recue dog to us, with a torn ACL. That has been repaired. We have had him almost 2 years and our other female pit and him are no longer able to tolerate each other. The fights are getting more frequent and we can't take anymore or keep them apart completely. That's not the way this loveable, smart boy should live. He has had a broken front leg that has healed well and is current on all vaccinations and on heart worm meds. He is great with us and the grandkid (ages 5,3, and 1). It is just a dog to dog aggression. He is a pampered pooch that is house and crate trained. He will have to be your only loveable dog.

|Rescue Me ID: 13-10-28-00294Jake (male)|
Hey I am Jake. My family dropped me at the shelter because I chased some cats : ( So I should really go to a cat free home. I also dont like ALL dogs, but do like some dogs. I just dont like it when they are pushy, I need time to warm up to them, thats all. I am only 2 years old so I still like to run and romp and play. I know how to sit and shake, and I love love love playing with toys... I am still working on fetch, but I sure do like trying. I think I might be a lab x grate Dane mix. You cant tell in my photos but I am a pretty big guy and much lankier than a regular lab. Do you have a spot in your family for me?

Great Dane Dogs can make good pets in Kentucky if they match your IifestyIe. The Great Dane is an enormous, but extremely gentle breed often referred to as the Gentle Giant. Great Danes are kind, loyal, and sociable. They need to be around people. Great Danes are gentle, devoted, and wonderful with children, but should be supervised with little ones because of their large size. Great Danes should be well trained as puppies. Great Danes can live in an apartment with enough daily exercise but do best with a large yard.
