Rescue Me ID: 17-10-22-00084Mister (male)

Great Dane Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Not Good w/ Other Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Mister looks like Scobby Doo! He's 19 months old and weighs approx 130 pounds. Mister is an awesome dog! He is extremely affectionate and loyal. He thinks he is a lap dog. He is 100% housetrained. He has a 'dry' mouth and does not slobber. He also has a 'soft' mouth and will take treats gently. Mister loves people and children's. He will be better with old kids as he is still a puppy with big puppy energy. He sits, lays down, speaks and comes when called. He is very calm in the house and is not destructive. He is playful outside. He is very strong and still needs work with leash training. He loves long car rides and is very good in the ... (Read More)car. Some concerns to be aware of with Mister is that he does not like raccoons, ground moles, cats and trange dogs. He has shown aggression toward strange dogs. He is protective. Although he lives with a 7 pound Chihuahua and gets along with some dogs he knows, he cannot be put in a situation where strange dogs walk in front of him. He will be better suited as an only dog with no close neighbor dogs. Adoption fee is $250 includes neuter, vaccines and microchip. NO apartments. A fenced yard or acreage is a must. Text his foster mom at 812 951-1005 or Go to www.sirescue.org for an application. Photo to be updated later or can be texted or emailed if good adoption fit. (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Great Dane in Indiana
Great Dane Dogs can make good pets in Indiana if they match your IifestyIe. The Great Dane is an enormous, but extremely gentle breed often referred to as the Gentle Giant. Great Danes are kind, loyal, and sociable. They need to be around people. Great Danes are gentle, devoted, and wonderful with children, but should be supervised with little ones because of their large size. Great Danes should be well trained as puppies. Great Danes can live in an apartment with enough daily exercise but do best with a large yard.
