Rescue Me ID: 16-06-29-00018Juno (female)

Great Dane    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current, Fearful/Anxious

Juno is a very sweet girl. We are having to rehome her because her anxiety is causing our other dog to attack her. They had it out pretty bad tonight and Juno does have some wounds that need to be checked by a vet. Unfortunately I can not afford to take her to a vet and she is behind on her shots as well. I feel like a failure as a dog mom but unfortunately going through a divorce not just the humans suffer. She would do best in a quiet home with one or two adults and a fenced in yard. She is a very nervous girl and prefers to be with her person as much as possible. **update** Juno went to the vet today with financial help from family to ... Great Dane Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered

Male, Great Dane/Labrador Retriever mix, 2 yo., 82.9 lbs., fully vetted, HW Negative. I am a very big and strong fella. I was brought to HART because I was too much dog for my owner. I need a strong human with a strong personality. I am smart but I am stubborn. I need a leader to help me stay in check. I know the command for sit and will do it most of the time. I don't have any training on a leash and I can pull pretty hard to get where I want to go. If you want to come by HART and take me for a romp in the yard, I would love that. Maybe you are the right one for me and I would love you and lick you and go home with you. Call Mandy ... (Read More)for more information. 912-437-4242 (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Great Dane in Georgia
Great Dane Dogs can make good pets in Georgia if they match your IifestyIe. The Great Dane is an enormous, but extremely gentle breed often referred to as the Gentle Giant. Great Danes are kind, loyal, and sociable. They need to be around people. Great Danes are gentle, devoted, and wonderful with children, but should be supervised with little ones because of their large size. Great Danes should be well trained as puppies. Great Danes can live in an apartment with enough daily exercise but do best with a large yard.
