Sweet calm 6 year old Great Dane (AKC registered). He's in great health! Very compassionate towards owners and very property protective. He likes to go on walks and ride in the back of trucks. This boy will need a family without kids and most likely without other animals. This would be a perfect dog for someone looking for companionship and protection. He loves women! We travel a lot and he needs someone that is home more. We are also planning to start a family and don't know how he would be around children.

He is heartworm negative. Light on his feet when he runs. He is a 'leaner'. He has a little docked tail that adds to his great looks. He needs leash training knows the sit and down commands.     Meet Kolbie! Can it get any more gorgeous than this 11 week ole boy? Kolbie is already 24 pounds and we suspect a lot of great dane in him and maybe a dash of bulldog. Whatever the mix he is simply stunning. He was rescued from the pound hours before he was scheduled to die. If any dog knows what joy and freedom tastes like, it is him. He is a lover and gets along well with all the other pups even though he towers over them. This boy has survived parvo and death row at the pound and now only wants his own family, of course until that happens he is loved like there is no tomorrow in his foster home! Kolbie is crate trained and is working on ... (Read More)his house training and even enjoys swimming in the pond. He is just a joy to have around! I can't say enough good about this boy! If you are interested in adopting Kolbie, please go to BARC's Website and fill out an adoption application and the foster parent will contact you in a timely manner. Thank you for considering adopting a rescued pet! (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Great Dane in Georgia
Great Dane Dogs can make good pets in Georgia if they match your IifestyIe. The Great Dane is an enormous, but extremely gentle breed often referred to as the Gentle Giant. Great Danes are kind, loyal, and sociable. They need to be around people. Great Danes are gentle, devoted, and wonderful with children, but should be supervised with little ones because of their large size. Great Danes should be well trained as puppies. Great Danes can live in an apartment with enough daily exercise but do best with a large yard.
