|Rescue Me ID: 18-01-06-00366Maggie (female)|
New Arrival-Maggie This 2 year old golden lab mix was relinquished due to impending surgeries on her person which have made it impossible for her to care for the 90 pound girl. Maggie is distraught at the changes in her life and desperately misses her mom. Maggie is housebroken, good on leash, good with car rides and is good with other dogs. She is spayed and fully vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $100. Application can be submitted online at: https://www.charlessmithgallhumanesociety.org/page/dog-adoption-application/ or at the shelter. Adoption of all dogs/cats requires an approval process to ensure that they are going into a home appropriate for their needs and that will keep them safe. Each is loved and nurtured by our staff and volunteers during their stay with us and each is placed with same due diligence that they would be given if they were our own family members. Adoption policies and application procedures are at the shelter website: http://smithgallhumanesociety.org/ under tab All Adoptable Animals. All approved adopters must accompany their new family member on the journey home. We do not ship nor do we transport. Charles Smithgall Humane Society (CSHS) is a No kill shelter which provides quality care, spay/neuter-all vaccines, deworming, vet exam, standard disease testing and for dogs-monthly heart worm prevention treatment. Animals in our care remain safe with us until adopted. Resident animals are primarily owner relinquished and also accepted from local Animal Control. The facility usually is operating at capacity with a list of animals waiting for space to open. Adoption hours are Tues-Sat 10-4 and Sun 1-4. Shelter location: 4823 Helen Hwy. 75N, Sautee, GA 30571 Shelter phone: 706-865-4135 Shelter email: firstname.lastname@example.org Sautee is located 3 miles from the Alpine town of Helen in the NE mountains of GA. |Rescue Me ID: 17-12-29-00127Alice (female)|
Alice is Merle color (black and brown). She's about 3 years old (not sure on actual date because she was rescued). She weighs 140-150. She's never had any medical issues and is a very loving, cuddly dog. She is great with everyone and will lay on top of you all day, if you let her! She was neglected before we rescued her so, was never fully trained and she has to be on a tight schedule with going to the bathroom and eating. She's spayed and has a chip.

SHe gets along well with her Dane foster brother but will give chase to small dogs. Willow is UTD on core vaccines, micro-chipped and is on flea and heartworm prevention. Willow will not be placed out of the state. If you are interested in adopting Willow you may fill out an application at wags-rescue.org. (Less)

|Rescue Me ID: 17-09-21-00331Napoleon (male)|
NAPOLEON WILL BE ADOPTED TO AN EXPERIENCED GUARDIAN BREED HOME ONLY ABOUT ME: Napoleon is a charming 7 year old Mastiff-Great Dane mix that is looking for a quiet place to spend his senior years. He is a lower-energy boy that loves to hang out with his people, sleep on the bed, sunbathe and go for car rides. Napoleon has sterling house manners: he is housebroken, crate-trained, and totally trustworthy when left out of his kennel. WHAT I NEED IN A HOME: Through no fault of his own, Napoleon got shuffled around quite a bit after his owner dropped him off at the shelter, and as a result, Napoleon can be wary of strangers and slow to warm up. He needs a forever home that understands that building trust takes time, and will allow him to come around on his own time. Once Napoleon becomes comfortable with his new surroundings, he transforms into a total love-bug and wants to be near his people as much as possible. Because he's an older guy, he tends to get overwhelmed by noisy and high-stimulus environments and would prefer a more laid-back and quiet household. An adults-only home would be ideal. Napoleon has cohabitated large dogs after a proper introduction but does not enjoy the company of the smaller breeds or cats. THE DETAILS: Napoleon is neutered, fully vaccinated, micro-chipped, and will be done with heartworm treatment in October. He is excellent on a leash, knows how to use a doggy door, and has mastered basic obedience. For more information on Napoleon or any of our other dogs, please email us at: email@example.com. Ready to give Napoleon the forever home of his dreams? Fill out our Adoption Application, located at www.bullpenrescue.org under the 'work with us' tab. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We highly recommend that our potential adopters fill out an online application as soon as possible, as it greatly expedites the process of finding the right dog for your situation. If you choose not to fill out an application before inquiring about a particular dog, please briefly tell us about yourself, family, and lifestyle since this will help us determine if the dog you're interested in is a good match. Our dogs are available for adoption nationwide but preference is given to adopters willing to do an in-person meeting. Please understand that our dogs are not adopted on a first-come, first-serve basis, but rather we strive for a 'perfect placement' so we know that they will not be failed again. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ (Less)

|PIease Read Before Adopting a Great Dane in Georgia|
Great Dane Dogs can make good pets in Georgia if they match your IifestyIe. The Great Dane is an enormous, but extremely gentle breed often referred to as the Gentle Giant. Great Danes are kind, loyal, and sociable. They need to be around people. Great Danes are gentle, devoted, and wonderful with children, but should be supervised with little ones because of their large size. Great Danes should be well trained as puppies. Great Danes can live in an apartment with enough daily exercise but do best with a large yard.
