Rescue Me ID: 17-08-14-00443Bubba (male)

Great Dane Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: High Energy, Very Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Bubba is a sweet boy that has some trust issue. My Ex husband was abusive to both he and I, Bubs became frighten of some men because of this. He loves women and other dogs, he is not good with children. Bubba needs a lot of room to run and loves long walks. I hate to rehome him but I am moving into a very small apartment and it would not be fair to him to keep him locked in such a small space while I work full time and go back to school full time. Bubba needs a home where they are patient and can understand dog behavior.

Great Dane    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Not Good w/ Other Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Low Energy, Submissive
Health: Needs to be Neutered, Needs Vaccinations

Brutus is a 1.5 yr old beautiful purebred Great Dane male. We took him in, along with his sister, when they were 10 days old. They pulled through and are doing great! Our hearts are heavy in making this decision, but we alone cannot give both puppies the attention and time they deserve. We would love to see Brutus find a family that has a strong desire to welcome a big dog into their life. He is very calm and loves just lounging around. He would curl up inside all day with you if he could! Editted 7/2/17- Brutus has shown fear aggression with two potential adoptive candidate's current dogs. It leads us to believe that he would be best placed ... (Read More)with someone that does not have other pets, and as a precaution in transitioning, someone without children. He is still an X-Large puppy with more growing to come. He is purebred without papers. His adoption fee will be the cost of his annual vet visit and a discounted neutering. Please contact me by email to request an application. Due to a high response for Brutus,we are now asking that ONLY candidates without other pets, without young children and with the physical capacity to handle a puppy to dog weight of 140-200lbs email requesting an application to be considered. Great Dane Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Not Good with Cats, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Toby is a big boy (Great Dane/Boxer mix) with a goofy grin that hides the loneliness in his big heart. Toby has been with us for 5 months and though he is a head turner, no one has pursued adoption. Toby is 1 1/2 years old and spends every day waiting by his gate in hopes that someone will stop and be his friend. Toby does not realize his strength and can easily knock over a small person in playing until he has had some training. He does not like cats...not at all! He does not show any interest in friendship with the other dogs and he may be indicating his preference to be an only dog. He is a good boy who would like to be on his way home. ... (Read More)His adoption fee is $100. There is a video of an excited joyful Toby on our facebook page that was posted Apr 23. Our newly launched website has all info regarding adoption polices and procedures under tab 'All Adoptable Animals'. Please read them before applying. A fill-able application form under same tab can be completed and submitted online. All of our residents require an adopter approval process as we strive to place them in homes which will meet their needs and keep them safe. We do not ship nor transport our residents. PIease Read Before Adopting a Great Dane in Georgia
Great Dane Dogs can make good pets in Georgia if they match your IifestyIe. The Great Dane is an enormous, but extremely gentle breed often referred to as the Gentle Giant. Great Danes are kind, loyal, and sociable. They need to be around people. Great Danes are gentle, devoted, and wonderful with children, but should be supervised with little ones because of their large size. Great Danes should be well trained as puppies. Great Danes can live in an apartment with enough daily exercise but do best with a large yard.
