Rescue Me ID: 14-06-29-00370Logan (male)

Great Dane Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: High Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Vaccinations Current, Aggressive, Fearful/Anxious

Logan is a very sweet, loyal, fun, smart, and loving dog. I rescued him 4 years ago when he was 9 months old, after what appeared to be a rough upbringing for him. When I first got him, he wasn't housebroken and was afraid of most people (including me), but he has come a a long way since. Over the four years, he has received tons of professional training to work on his behavior, so now he does well on a leash, is housebroken, and is much more calm than he used to be. However, he still has issues with some strangers and young children. I recently married someone with young children, which isn't a good environment for him, which is why I am ... (Read More)looking for a home for him. If I can find the right home for him, I will pay for a series of training sessions from a professional trainer for the new owner, a month's supply of his favorite food, training collars, a crate (he does well in a crate when need be), treats, a comfortable muzzle for use around strangers, and plenty of toys to keep him busy. I love him dearly and would love to keep him, but since I can't, I will do just about anything to find him a home that is willing to love him, be loved by him, and keep him safe. Please call or email if you are interested in learning more about him, seeing more photos, or meeting him. He really is a great dog and could be a perfect fit for the right situation. (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Great Dane in Colorado
Great Dane Dogs can make good pets in Colorado if they match your IifestyIe. The Great Dane is an enormous, but extremely gentle breed often referred to as the Gentle Giant. Great Danes are kind, loyal, and sociable. They need to be around people. Great Danes are gentle, devoted, and wonderful with children, but should be supervised with little ones because of their large size. Great Danes should be well trained as puppies. Great Danes can live in an apartment with enough daily exercise but do best with a large yard.
