Rescue Me ID: 15-03-01-00677Lucy (female)
Her name is Lucy, she is 3 years old and up to date on her shots, etc. and is healthy. I adopted her from PACC about 4 months ago. She is a large dog, weighing 100 or slightly over. The reason I am needing to rehome is because of a recent event in my home. I had an 11 year old mini poodle who thought he was the boss of all, he bit her and she bit back. He had bitten her before and she took it. This time was different. There really was no chance for him and I had to put him down because I could not afford his surgery. She didn't shake him or mutilate him, she just bit him back but bit his body and it tore his muscle near his ribs which caused some of his internal organs to go under his skin. I could not afford the surgery that the vet hospital wanted, it happened at 11 pm--so my choices of vet was limited. My heart is truly broken from that and I understand I made a mistake in bringing her into my home--because she is a large breed and I have small breeds. They don't mix. She is good with people, protective but not overly aggressive- she is more attached to me (woman) and listens to me much more than anyone else. She is not aggressive with men, I've never really heard her growl but a couple times at a delivery man. Anyone who adopts her needs to know this breed and knows the attention they need. She does take up the entire couch and loves snuggles. I don't recommend seniors, she needs someone higher energy and someone strong who can peel her off the couch if necessary. I have a young child and she kisses him and loves him. I also have older children. I know if I take her back to PACC, its pretty much a death sentence and though I am hurting from what happened, I don't really want to see her die. It was my mistake, not really hers. I contacted a Mastiff rescue but they won't take her because she is not purebred. I believe she is mastiff and possibly Great Dane--she is large but very beautiful and great with people. Unknown about cats, we don't have one but I would hesitate to have her around one. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 15-02-18-00058Brock (male)
Brock has been a great family dog. Unfortunately he is not great with a new baby. He is awesome with 4yr and up, but with our 1yr old he is not. We are expecting another young one in 2mos and if we can not find him a home then we are not sure what to do. We really do not want to take him to the pound. He has been awesome till the baby. Please help if you can. He really is a great dog!

Rescue Me ID: 15-02-16-00581Angel (female)
Angel is a four year old Great Dane who was originally surrendered to rescue in very rough shape. She had an extremely tough start, and as such, truly craves rules, structure and routine to make her feel safe and protected. In a previous home she was picked on continuously by another dog and did eventually retaliate, but in foster where she feels safe, she is doing just fine with three other Danes. Angel is a gem with people and wags her whole body when she's happy. She is a true love bug and will make the right family the perfect addition!

Rescue Me ID: 15-02-16-00576Batman (male)
Batman is an active, eight year old male Dane available for adoption. In his previous home he was ignored a lot and now craves attention. He is quite playful, can go for walks, and loves toys! He is great with people and very sweet but does appreciate structure and routine. He gets along with small dogs, he was reported by his previous owner as not doing well with larger dogs but this needs to be tested. Batman needs a forever home all of his own, if you feel you are the one and live in AZ (no exceptions), please apply today!

Rescue Me ID: 15-02-03-00625Jax (male)
Jax was recently found by Cave Creek and the 101 and is the sweetest dog. He gets along with other dogs and loves meeting new people. He is seriously the best dog! He walks on a leash very well and can go on runs. I've been leaving him home alone without a crate or restrictions in the house. He would make a great family dog because he is extremely loving. He would also be a good fit for anyone who wants a wants a loyal dog that always wants to cuddle or play. If you would like to come meet him please feel free to contact me

Rescue Me ID: 14-11-25-00542Token (male)
Hi, my name is Token! I am a large 5 year old Pit Bull and Great Dane mix. I am a pretty laid back guy that would be most content as the only pet in the house, and with only with older kids. I live for belly rubs, ear scratches, and a good game of fetch. I am neutered, vaccinated, house trained, and ready to find my forever home! Adoption Fee: $100 If you are interested in meeting Token, please fill out an adoption application at: http://www.operationpawsible.com/adoption-application.html

Rescue Me ID: 14-08-26-00021Mitch (male)
Meet Mitch! This boy is nearly 100 lbs of pure goofball. He loves people and other dogs, but has not been tested with kitties. He is strong and a bit rough but not aggressive. Just doesn't seem to have any idea how big and strong he is. He needs someone that is committed to teaching him manners. He doesn't have much desire to learn, but he has learned to stop, sit, and wait before going through any doors or gates. That helps keep him calm, and really dials back his energy to a more manageable state. He's a typical pup...mouthy, loud, and extremely goofy. He loves to play, friendly with other big dogs (as long as they will tolerate his rough play), and LOVES water. This boy will help you laugh all those cares away. He is an awesome boy! If you are interested in Mitch please visit peeweespals.org and complete an application and we will contact you to set up a meet and greet. (Less)

Great Dane Dogs can make good pets in Arizona if they match your IifestyIe. The Great Dane is an enormous, but extremely gentle breed often referred to as the Gentle Giant. Great Danes are kind, loyal, and sociable. They need to be around people. Great Danes are gentle, devoted, and wonderful with children, but should be supervised with little ones because of their large size. Great Danes should be well trained as puppies. Great Danes can live in an apartment with enough daily exercise but do best with a large yard.
