Meet Zane! Zane in Hebrew, meaning 'God's gracious gift'. The name is also of Arabic origins meaning 'Good'. Zane is definitely a gift from God and a good boy. Zane we believe is Lab/Dane mix, approx. 85 pounds, right at a year old or slightly older and mostly all shiny black with a touch of white on his chest and paws and deep coal eyes. He is a young, playful, funny and a super loving boy! He is good with all dogs and people. He is a big goofy boy that still thinks he is a puppy. He adores children, but would do best in a home with older kids versus toddlers since he doesn't realize how big he really is and has two left paws. He is good ... (Read More)with other dogs big and small and hasn't been tested around cats. Zane loves to be center of attention and activities. He can run like the best of them and definitely enjoys it! He would love a home with another dog his size and playful so he never gets bored, but would also do fine as the only dog if he gets plenty of exercise. He is super sweet and loves to give out kisses daily. He loves toys and tennis balls and loves to retrieve. He would be awesome with a teenage boy or gal who needs a best friend. Zane obviously had not had any training before we got him, so we worked with him and he has taken obedience classes, but would benefit with additional training. Zane is very treat motivated so easily trainable. He walks fine on a leash, rides really well in a car. He is crate trained and house broken. He definitely requires plenty of activities since he is very much a young dog and would require and enjoy a big fenced in area that has a 5ft or higher chain link or privacy fenced in yard. Zane would prefer a home that has a stay-at-home or work-from-home family member that will provide plenty of love, affection and attention. Zane is fully vetted; neutered, up-to-date on all vaccines, heart worm tested negative and on prevention plus microchipped. Zane is an awesome dog that deserves a wonderful forever home! PIease Read Before Adopting a Great Dane in Alabama
Great Dane Dogs can make good pets in Alabama if they match your IifestyIe. The Great Dane is an enormous, but extremely gentle breed often referred to as the Gentle Giant. Great Danes are kind, loyal, and sociable. They need to be around people. Great Danes are gentle, devoted, and wonderful with children, but should be supervised with little ones because of their large size. Great Danes should be well trained as puppies. Great Danes can live in an apartment with enough daily exercise but do best with a large yard.
