Don't let his age fool you! Nothing makes him happier than chasing a tennis ball or cuddling with you on the couch! Once you start petting him he won't let you stop. Very sweet, but cannot go to a home with young children. Need to find a loving home where he can be happy, and need to find one soon! (He has started to show aggression towards infant in house and the last thing I want is for him to attack baby and be forced to be put down!) Would make excellent companion for a family with teenagers who can love on him, but know how to respect his space. Or even an older couple. He has a lot of life left and has no signs of arthritis or joint ... (Read More)problems which are common in his breed/age. (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Great Dane in Alabama
Great Dane Dogs can make good pets in Alabama if they match your IifestyIe. The Great Dane is an enormous, but extremely gentle breed often referred to as the Gentle Giant. Great Danes are kind, loyal, and sociable. They need to be around people. Great Danes are gentle, devoted, and wonderful with children, but should be supervised with little ones because of their large size. Great Danes should be well trained as puppies. Great Danes can live in an apartment with enough daily exercise but do best with a large yard.
