Rescue Me ID: 13-11-30-00092Ashyer (female)
Ashyer is a blur great dane, she is 11 months old. We have to rehome her only because our job hours have changed which leaves her home to long alone. She is crate trained, which is included with her, and house broken. She has been to puppy school and knows about 10 commands. She is AKC registered, with a great pedigree. She is a great pup and does well with other dogs and my cat. She has not been fixed yet because we were going to breed her, per contract we have until the end of December to pay for breeding rights or get her fixed. We are in a little of a time crunch because we are moving so if interested please contact me ASAP.

Rescue Me ID: 13-10-30-00228Parrain (male)
Parrain (PAH-ran) is a SWEET boy. He needs surgeries (our vet estimated total of $2K) We can't afford it, but we would rather adopt him out than have him put down - currently he is on pain meds, but I hate seeing him hurt, and will opt to have him put down if he can't get adopted/fixed soon. Other than that, he is in good health. He will be a great family dog. We believe that he is mixed with Great Dane, but not sure. He is house trained, doesn't bark a lot, and as of 10/30 he is approx. 8 months old and weighs 65 lbs. He knows some basic commands. PLEASE HELP SAVE HIM -

Rescue Me ID: 13-10-17-00156Tao (male)
Tao is a full european harlequin great dane! I had aquired him from a vet office in Georgia around a year ago, he was taken from a bad home from the vet. He is a very good dog, sweet and loyal. He is very thick boned, has the cutest face and the funniest walk ever! When I first got him he could not be within 10 feet of another dog, espically during feeding time. He was mistreated by his first owner and neglected, Kept in a small crate 100% of the time. Since I have had him he has learned, sit, stay, lay down, hold, come and has been fully potty and crate trained. He loves his XL crate. Since I have had him I have noticed he does NOT like human faces near his, he does not like kisses or hugs on the face or head, espically while sleeping, he will air snap as a warning. He had never bitten anyone, and then.... I had warned visitors to my home of this and an unfourtunatly one person did not listen (my fault for not watching close enough). He had 'air snapped' before, this time he was sleeping on the couch, a friend was intoxicated, jumped on the couch to hug him and fell into him. It was not a good situation, reguardless it should have not happened. He has come such a long way to be judged for this, but he needs a steady, strong hand. He needs a more responsible, reliable household, someone with pleanty of time to devote to him. I would personally not trust him around children, he is good with my other great dane and does good at the dog park running around and playing. My roommates and friend are wanting me to put him to sleep. That will not happen, he deserves a wonderful home. I am his hero, and it breaks my heart to have to find him a new home. He has so much energy, and is such a happy boy! He likes his space, but otherwise is the perfect companion in every aspect. He is neutered, up to date on all of his shots, no health problems. If you think you can become his hero, please contact me as soon as possible. I will post pictures as soon as possible. Thanks so much!! (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 13-04-12-00209Fitz (male)
Fitz here! So I am the perfect guy for you! I am a single, neutered Walker Hound/Great Dane mix. I was born sometime in 2008 and I am up to date on all my shots and I am heartworm negative. My owner had to surrender me due to some unforseen circumstances. I am a sweet lovable 125lb boy who just wants to run and play, then sit in your lap while you watch TV. I am housebroken, but I am unfamiliar with a crate. I am in search of my furever home. I promise to hang on your every word, to greet you at the door after a long hard day at work. I promise not to drink from the toilet and I won't chew up any of yourshoes. So what do you say.. you and me sit down and have a long discussion about my new life with you over a bowl of biscuits. You bring the biscuits and I will bring all the kisses you want. ~ Kisses and High fives furever ~ Fitz (Less)

Great Dane Dogs can make good pets in Alabama if they match your IifestyIe. The Great Dane is an enormous, but extremely gentle breed often referred to as the Gentle Giant. Great Danes are kind, loyal, and sociable. They need to be around people. Great Danes are gentle, devoted, and wonderful with children, but should be supervised with little ones because of their large size. Great Danes should be well trained as puppies. Great Danes can live in an apartment with enough daily exercise but do best with a large yard.
